Journal Entry from today: (not all journal entries go to my blog, but some just seem like they should be posted)

Yesterday I took the boys to see Toy Story 3 at the free showing on post. It was really good and we all liked it! We were ALL going to go and had a baby sitter lined up for Elden, but the girls have been sick and so Ruth stayed home with them while I went to the movie and the USO with the boys.

We had to hurry home so that Ruth could meet the RS president at the church to work on visiting teaching. While she was gone we cleaned the TV and computer screens, windows, dusted the piano and shelves. Cal vacuumed up all the popcorn that I guess the girls had spilled in the living room.

Before Ruth got home I made some pizza and bread sticks. She got home just as we started to eat. The kids ended up eating outside. We'd tried to go outside several times earlier, but it was just too hot - well for me anyway. Cal didn't seem to mind and spent a good hour outside riding his bike.

Last night Ruth and I folded clothes and watched a movie. We started watching The Scarlet Pimpernel, but not long after starting it I found a old recording of The Karate Kid. We decided to watch that instead, but the tape had come off the spool inside so I took it apart and fixed it while Ruth kept watching the first movie. I think she was almost half way done with it before I finished fixing it, but eventually I got it together so that it would work.

Today I stayed home with the girls and Elden while Ruth went to church with the boys. Haley is probably almost better, but Shanna still has a really sore mouth. Everybody has been sick the last week except for Ruth, me and Elden. Hopefully we three can stay healthy!

Ruth just called and they stayed after church for a baptism. When they get home from church I'm going to go do some home teaching.
